We Defend DWI Charges in Every Court in the State of New Jersey

Evan Levow is a New Jersey DWI Lawyer who exclusively practices DWI defense throughout every court in the state of New Jersey.  Although no attorney can guarantee results, Mr. Levow has qualifications that no other attorney in this State shares, and he knows what it takes to properly defend you.

Evan Levow is qualified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) as an instructor in the Standardized Field Sobriety testing.  He is going to know if something was done improperly with your field testing.  That may be one way to weaken the State’s case against you.

Evan Levow’s law firm is the ONLY firm in New Jersey to own both the machines, the Breathalyzer and the Alcotest, used for breath testing in New Jersey.  He knows the issues and problems with the machines and their possible errors.  If he can show that the machine was not working properly, or the machine was not properly certified or calibrated, or that the person operating the machine was not qualified, he can attempt to get the results thrown out.  Mr. Levow represents the lead defendant in the New Jersey Supreme Court case State vs Chun – the case that is going to decide the future of breath testing in the state of New Jersey.

Mr. Levow has taught the Skills and Methods course to new attorneys through the NJ Institute of Continuing Legal Education.  He has been referred to as the “DWI Attorney’s, Attorney”, and is frequently sought out by other DWI attorneys to discuss strategies on how to defend their own clients.  He recently hosted and lectured with a national panel of DWI lawyers on “Strategies to Win DWI Bench Trials”, and is currently authoring the DWI Book – New Jersey.  Mr. Levow has had numerous television and radio appearances where he’s been asked to speak on the intricacies of New Jersey DWI law, DWI issues and DWI legal strategies.

Don't Let Your New Jersey DWI Ruin Your Life

When you've been arrested for a DWI in New Jersey, you need a lawyer who can protect your rights...make sure you're treated fairly...and who knows how to properly handle a DWI case. You've just found that lawyer.

I understand that you're probably feeling confused, angry, or somewhat fearful about what's happened to you. The process of being arrested and taken to the police station was probably very dehumanizing to you. I sincerely sympathize with that.

You're faced with a charge which can have serious outcomes. You could lose your license ... your insurance could go up or be cancelled ... you could even go to jail.

It doesn't end there. A conviction can follow you and cause you other problems in the future.

I'll Fight to Help You Keep Your License and Your Freedom

FREE NJ DWI EVALUATION WITH NEW JERSEY DWI ATTORNEY EVAN LEVOW

There's a good chance I can help. There are many challenges that can be made to the charges you are facing. I'll raise the applicable challenges for you so your case is as strong as possible.

Anybody can plead you guilty. But in many cases the best choice is to fight. That's the kind of case I focus on.

At the very least, I'll make sure that you're being treated fairly.

You should be aware of all the defenses you have in this situation.

The law requires proof that after drinking you were not able to drive your car safely or that your blood alcohol exceeded a certain limit. That sounds pretty cut and dried, but it's not quite as simple as that.

You see, if challenged, the State also has to show that the arresting officer made the arrest properly, that the field sobriety tests performed on you were instructed properly and scored properly, that you were properly advised of your rights, that the equipment he used to test you was working accurately, and even that the person operating that equipment was certified to operate it. I have the knowledge and experience to challenge all of these things. I will request all of the items needed for your defense.

      That's where I come in.

I know how and where to compel the State to prove that all the steps used in your arrest were done properly. If they weren't, then the State's case is weakened.

In addition, you might like to know that I’m Qualified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the International Chiefs of Police as a Standardized Field Sobriety Testing Instructor. I obtained this qualification because I want to know all of the parts of the tests that the officer may have given to you, and to be prepared to fully cross-examine the officer if you decide to go to trial.

If I can figure out enough problems with the testing, that may be one of the ways to convince the prosecutor of weaknesses in the State's case. More importantly, I may be able to demonstrate to the judge that you should be found not guilty of that part of the State's case against you.

I can't promise you that I'll be successful because each case is unique. Maybe there are some things distinctive to your case which are important. However, all things being equal, I think you'll find that I will protect your rights.

When you retain me you'll get legal help from an attorney who knows how to guide your case through the complexities of the legal system because I've done it numerous times. You'll be certain you are being treated fairly by the judicial system because I'll obtain:

  • the name and address of anyone the Prosecutor plans to call as a witness, as well as copies of every written or recorded statements of their testimony. This will allow us to prepare our questions for them.
  • any information or material that would show that you are not guilty of the charges against you, or which may help you get a lighter sentence.
  • copies of records showing that the equipment used for tests was functioning properly, and that the person giving the tests was properly certified.
  • proof that you were advised of all of your rights. If you weren't, the case against you may be weakened.

I contact the Prosecutor beforehand to get the State to produce its' proof and let him know that I will be contesting in court all applicable defenses for you.

As you can see, what looks simple gets pretty complex. As your attorney I will look into all of these things for you so that you will have the best possible case.

Actually, there is more, and I want to inform you of more. That's why I offer a free consultation, either on the phone or in person.

Free Consultation and Review of Your NJ DWI Arrest

FREE NJ DWI EVALUATION WITH NEW JERSEY DWI ATTORNEY EVAN LEVOW

You're probably like most people arrested for a NJ DWI. You don't really know the right thing to do about it, and you don't know whether or not you can win if you contest your arrest.

For both of these reasons, I'd like to meet with you to give you the additional information I just mentioned and to review your case.

If you would like to meet with me, I will be happy to set up an appointment with you. That way you'll be able to learn all you need to know about your situation. This conference is free to you, will last up to an hour, and there is no further obligation at all.

To arrange for your free consultation, you can call and leave a message 24 hours a day. Someone from my office will get back to you as soon as possible, if we are not immediately available.

Here's How I'll Protect Your Rights

When we talk, I will analyze the facts of your case, give you my opinion about it, and discuss my approach to it. I'll explain how we'll protect your legal rights, what your options are, and how the whole judicial process works, so you'll know exactly what happens.

Plus, you'll learn how I will guide you through the court system and how I'll champion your rights, using the options in the legal system to defend and protect you.

For example, I'll review the Complaint against you . . . the steps which were used to conduct the chemical and roadside tests against you to determine if they are valid . . . and I'll show you the strengths and weaknesses of your case.

I will also tell you about my fees. (Please see my fees information page) Anything you tell me during this and all other meetings will be confidential, whether or not you retain me.

In summary, with my help you'll get:

  • A free initial phone or in person consultation.
  • Personalized attention. I'll return your phone calls promptly, keep you informed, and answer all questions to help you put the pieces back together.
  • Experience. Since 1991, I've helped people just like you.
  • Aggressiveness. While I seek to resolve your case and settle it, I also take a tough stance to protect your interests.

So, if you want an attorney you can talk to, who understands what you want, who is interested in you and your situation, and who fights to get you results, call me today at (856) 428-5055 for your free consultation. You can also reach me on my cell phone -- (856) 889-5181.

The first meeting is free, so there is no risk on your part; and you'll be able to get all your questions answered. When we are finished, if you're not convinced that I will be able to protect your rights, then you will leave without hiring me.

In any event, at the end of the consultation you'll be more knowledgeable, you'll know what to expect in the judicial process, and be able to make more informed decisions about your case.

Sincerely,

Evan M. Levow

P.S. In case you're still undecided about who, if anyone, to go to, let me tell you one final thing--it may be important. My job is to fight for you and fully protect your rights. So I promise to do everything I can to handle any and all misdemeanor charges that have been filed against you.
